I’ve always had confidence even when I had less. In my early years, I grew up in a 1 bedroom apartment in Brooklyn, NY with my younger sibling and parents native to another country. I was proud of my upbringing but always wanted more. I was tall and skinny growing up, wore glasses, and referred to as “the grandma” in friend groups. All things to potentially shatter your confidence a little but instead made me who I am today. Here are a few of my confidence tips to boost your confidence both personally and professionally.
When our self-esteem is higher, we not only feel better about ourselves, we are more resilient as well.

Don’t Change Who You Are For Anyone
I acknowledge people’s perceptions of me and embrace inner thoughts of who I am. A huge part of self-confidence is knowing who you are and the characteristics you embody while also being open to thoughts and opinions of one’s perspective of you. I’ll share a personal reason why I don’t change who I am to make someone else comfortable.
Someone once told me I am always positive (happy) and that I never consider the worst-case scenarios in life. This made me self-reflect and do a deep dive to truly understand my internal motives and things that motivate me. I realized these were all factors someone can not consider when creating their judgment or thoughts about me. Ultimately, you will encounter one’s perspective of who you are. Whether you agree or not, consider your internal motives and prioritize those first.
Surround Yourself With Good Company
No one has 100% confidence. At times I second guess myself with blogging and consider all that comes with it, time, consistency, creativity, influence. All things I completely lack some days but then I consider my support system. My mom and boyfriend that carve out time in their day to capture my photos so I can create relatable, evergreen content. The readers and friends that support me each and every time. These are all reminders of my why and boost my confidence in anything I do.
Think Highly of Yourself
Consider the potential and the value you bring to the table because there is only one of you.
